Preparing for the Test

The test is run by GL who provide free familiarisation materials to help your child ahead of sitting the test:

We are part of the G7 group of Gloucestershire Grammar Schools who work together to administer the test for entry each year. The following information document will help you further understand the process.

Gloucestershire Admissions Information Booklet

We understand that undergoing a test in timed conditions, at an unfamiliar setting can be worrying for any young person and particularly so if your child has SEND. Following registration for the test we offer visits to the school with our SENCO, Mr Alan Shipman or one of his team, ahead of sitting the test. During this visit we will do everything we can to put you and your child at ease. We will show you the route your child will take on the testing day from the entrance gate all the way through to their allocated seat, introduce them to some of the staff they will be with, discuss any agreed access arrangements and alleviate any concerns.
