Song and Dance Evening

Last night we had an excellent Song and Dance Evening whereby 28 different acts took part from modern dance, and ballet to singing and instrumental playing.  The standard as always was high and the evening proved to be a resounding success.

My congratulations go to all the students who took part in the event and to Mrs Day, Mrs Bowman and Miss Wilkes for organising it.

Year 11

On Thursday 12th May we had a morning of reminiscences of what life was like in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 with our Year 11 students who have begun study leave.  Their GCSE exams begin on Monday.  We wish them every success for their exams and we are looking

forward to welcoming them back in the Sixth Form.

Year 13 Final Assembly

Year 13 did a fantastic assembly on Monday portraying the staff of the school.  The script was extremely well written and there was a huge amount of laughter in the gym.

The students really do know the staff well!  Well done, Year 13.  You certainly provided us with excellent entertainment.

EFA Bid

Unfortunately, we were not successful in our bids this year to the EFA.  One bid was for security fencing around the main site and the other was for the repair of roofs.  We have put in an appeal for both bids but actually don’t hold out too much hope.

Girl Choristers for Gloucester Cathedral

We are delighted to announce that 3 of our students have been accepted as the first girl choristers at Gloucester Cathedral.  They are Evie Perfect, Harriet Saxton and Georgie Stott.  This is a fantastic achievement. Well done, girls.

With my best wishes
