  • Creative Arts Exhibition, Croft Farm Bonding Trip, Spanish Exchange and Rags 2 Riches

    Published 09/10/17, by Rachel Hayward

    Dear Parents/Carers

    · Important information about measles and vomiting and diarrhoea viruses.

    Spanish Exchange.

    · GCSE Creative Arts Exhibition.

    · PTA Rags 2 Riches.

    · Croft Farm Year 7 Bonding Trip.

Important information about measles and vomiting and diarrhoea viruses

A separate email went out this morning concerning the above two issues.  PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

I will let all parents/carers know as soon as the school is aware of an outbreak of either measles or the vomiting and diarrhoea virus.

    Spanish Exchange – 27th September – 4th October

As always the Spanish exchange was a great success and everyone came back late on Wednesday evening having had a wonderful time.  I am sure that everyone who took part in the exchange would like to thank Mr Groom for organising it.

    GCSE Creative Arts Exhibition

The standard of Art, Art Textiles and Design and Technology work was absolutely outstanding this year. Students had made the most amazing objects such as lamps, cake stands, boxes etc.  The Art Textiles and Art sketchbooks were a delight to peruse, as well as the final pieces.  I am looking forward to having some of the pieces in my office.  Well done to all the students.   Please take a look at the photographs on our website gallery.

    PTA Rags 2 Riches

Thank you to everyone for their support of the PTA in the Rags 2 Riches collection.  There were certainly numerous bags waiting to be collected this morning.  This collection raises money for the PTA, which is then used to buy equipment needed in school that your daughters and sons benefit from.

Croft Farm Year 7 Bonding Trip

I have heard that Year 7 are thorough enjoying their bonding trip to Croft Farm.  I am certain you will hear more about the trip from Miss Wilkes, Year 7 Co-ordinator next week.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!  Certainly the weather promises to be good on Sunday.

    Best wishes

    Ewa Sawicka
