I’ve been at Denmark road for just over a year, but I settled in so quickly, I feel like I have been here for so much longer. With all the opportunities available academically but also in sport, drama, music and art it is impossible not to love being here.
I love the fact that there are amazing trips we can go on such as Netball PGLs, theatre trips, ski trips and a sport tour to Barbados.
A passion of mine is sport. I play competitive hockey, netball, cricket, athletics, cross country and rounders for school. I have been delighted at the amount of sport on offer and I enjoy having the opportunity to sometimes captain a team which has helped me to develop my leadership skills. My favourite sport is hockey and I am thrilled to have been selected for the Gloucestershire County Hockey squad.
The teachers make our lessons exciting and interactive, which makes it easier to learn. Being encouraged and challenged academically is enabling me to broaden my horizons and discover and realise my potential. My favourite lessons are Science, English, German and PE and I hope to be a doctor one day unless I become an England hockey player!
