GCSE Examination Results 2016

Congratulations to all our Year 11 students who received their fantastic GCSE results.

The celebration of success continues this week with our GCSE results. The High School’s commitment to enable all students to believe, achieve and thrive and the outstanding work ethic of our students has delivered another year of outstanding results.  Over 70% of all GCSEs taken were graded at A or A*.

Students at the High School continue to make excellent progress from their starting points entering the school.  This was particularly noticeable in the number of the top grades achieved with over a quarter of all GCSEs being awarded at A*

Our outstanding results are just one reason why we have been rated the second best, state-funded secondary school in Gloucestershire. See ‘The Real School Guide for Gloucestershire 2016’.  See 'The Real Schools Guide for Gloucestershire' here

Enrolment for students to the High School Sixth Form is now open. Our Sixth Form Students achieved our best ever results this year. The proportion of qualifications at A*-B rose significantly this year from 67% to 76.1% and in the national context of falling numbers of A*-A grades being achieved at A-Level, the percentage of qualifications at these grades increased from 36.3% to 41.6%.

Students who have achieved the entry criteria are invited to apply to join our learning community.  Further details are available from the school on 01452 543335 or office@hsfg.org
