Discover Realise Honour Shape

Delivering the masks .....

As of yesterday afternoon, we have delivered 174 face masks to numerous NHS staff as well as to care homes, home carers, GP’s and District Nurses.

In addition to helping the weekend stocks at Gloucester Royal Hospital Critical Care Unit (92), we have given out supplies to Whittington House Nursing Home in Cheltenham (20), TakeFiveHealthcare (10), District Nurses in Gloucestershire (10), Prices Mills Surgery in the Stroud district (20) and numerous home carers (22).  We will be making many more in the workshop of Denmark Road High School when our materials are replenished in a day or so but until then here are some photos of the heroes who are having to wear this protective wear. These brave people are thanking us and yet it is us who cannot thank them enough…
“Such a huge thanks to you all who made it happen this morning.  These visors will go to the areas of need around the hospital. Staff will put their name on them and keep them for as many shifts as they can. They will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes between patients. It made me emotional to see what a fabulous community DRHS is to rise to this Sunday am 8:47 challenge and deliver by 13:22. Thank everyone involved. “
