For those that missed the Entrance Test in September 2018, there will be a Post-Allocation Test on Monday 18 March 2019 – meeting the qualifying standard in this test will enable your child to be slotted into the waiting list for Denmark Road High School. In order to be eligible for this test you MUST co-ordinate with Gloucestershire County Council Admissions by Friday 8 March 2019, requesting to go on the Waiting List. The High School for Girls is a girls only grammar school (from 11-16) with a mixed Sixth Form provision.
The High School for Girls is an Academy and as such, the Governing Body of the school is the admissions’ authority responsible for all admissions, whilst operating in line with Gloucestershire County Councils’ co-ordinated scheme for school admissions and the Government’s Code of Practice on Admissions.
If you are unsuccessful in gaining a place for your daughter for entry to Year 7 you have a legal right to appeal to an independent panel.
