The Wellbeing Centre
The Well Being Centre is the hub of pastoral support and Denmark Road High School. This is where students can locate their Progress and Wellbeing Coordinator, Student Support Officers, Attendance Officer and the SENDCo team. It provides a warm and supportive environment to hold informal meetings, as well as a dedicated space to allow students with specific needs to relax and re-set. One to one and small group interventions also take place in the dedicated meeting rooms for students with specific identified needs enabling all students at DRHS to make ‘positive progress and wellbeing for all’.
Areas of Need
Most need is met within the classroom environment through responsive quality first teaching. In an instance where the level of need goes beyond this, the following systems are in place:
Cognition and Learning
Communication and Interaction
Physical and Medical Needs
Provision to Support SEND students
