PE Lessons - What Will They Be Like?
All of the procedures will be explained to you in your first PE lesson, so please do not worry. However, here is some information about how PE will work:
If you have a practical PE lesson, please come to school wearing your PE kit.
PE lessons will be slightly different in that we will, of course, adhere to the DFE guidelines. We are also following the advise of National Governing Bodies, such as England Netball, who have adjusted some of their rules to maintain social distancing. In PE lessons, we will be focusing on skills and modified games in small groups.
In your PE lesson, you will still have access to a range of equipment, albeit a smaller amount. Equipment will be cleaned after every lesson. We will need your help with this, for example, sanitising the badminton racket handles at the end of the lesson.
As normal, you are expected to bring a filled water bottle and asthma pump (if required) to your PE lesson. Please enter the gym from the door near the English office. Come straight in and sit down, ready to be registered. You will be expected to use the hand sanitiser, which is provided, and/or wash your hands at several points during your PE lesson.
GCSE and A Level PE theory lessons will have the same procedures as other classroom based lessons.
