Art Lessons - What Will They Be Like?
Mrs Williams and Ms Murphy will go through all the protocols specific to each Art room in your first lesson to remind you.
Standard hygiene and safety procedures are expected;
- Hand sanitising before entering the Art rooms and studio
- Placing bags under chairs
- Remain in your seat unless instructed to move by the teacher
- A limited number of students will be allowed at the sink area
- If specific resources are needed (KS4/5) students must ask their teacher
Although you will still have access to a range of specific equipment and materials, albeit a smaller amount, we ask that you are prepared for lessons with your own materials –
Sketching pencils, rubber, sharpener, black finer liner, glue stick, scissors, colouring pencils
In addition to the above, we ask you have your own set of blending stumps, brushes of varying sizes, a watercolour palette and your own A3 carry folder
Sketchbooks are on the online shop to purchase for Y7,10 and 12, Year 8 and 9 will continue to use their KS3 book.
Extra time will be spent cleaning class materials at the end of the lesson, along with the desk and chair. KS4/5 students will be required to clean guillotine handles if used.
The sixth form studio is available for Year 12 and 13 artists during study periods but you will not be allowed access into AS2 whilst Mrs Williams is teaching.
Students will not be able to access the Art rooms outside of their lesson time.
