Our Open Evening will be Thursday 20th January 2022.
Applications are welcomed from students continuing into Sixth Form from Year 11 and from students looking to join in Year 12 from other schools.
Minimum qualifying academic requirements apply equally to all applicants.

Application Process
We hope that you will find our online application form really easy to use. Please make sure you complete every section with full details so we are able to keep in touch with you and let you know about key events that are happening during the year. When you enrol with us we will also transfer all your details across to our school information management system. If you are a student new to the school, in order to make your transition as smooth as possible it is vital that we have all relevant information about you. The deadline for applications is Friday 4th March 2022, however we will consider late applications. Please note our sixth form is full and oversubscribed, therefore on time applications are strongly advised.
Once you have submitted your application you will be invited into school (invites sent via email address entered on your application form) to meet with senior members of staff to discuss your future choices (dates listed below). This is nothing to be nervous about, it is a great opportunity to get to know Denmark Road better and find out more about Sixth Form study. At the same time we can check that your A Level choices work within the blocks and facilitate your journey on your chosen career path. These discussions also help to inform us about what opportunities we need to build in to our Future Proof Programme.
Year 12 Discussion dates for students new to the school:
Tuesday 15th March 4 – 6pm
Monday 21st March 4 – 6pm
Thursday 31st March 4 – 6pm
If you are an existing student you will have a 1:1 Pathway Discussion with a member of the Senior Leadership team in the weeks beginning Monday 31st January 2022 and Monday 7th February 2022.
Following your meeting with a senior member of staff you will be sent a formal offer via email confirming what grades you need to achieve in your GCSE exams to either access DRHS3 or DRHS4
If you experience any difficulty using the online application form please contact Mrs Harvey (harveyl@denmarkroad.org)
Continuing into Sixth Form from Year 11
Joining Year 12 from other schools
Our school welcomes in excess of a third of its cohort from other schools each academic year. Those who join us soon become part of our family. We appreciate that moving schools is a big decision and start to work with you on this transition from the point of discussion around your application. We will meet all students who apply and consider their Future Proof pathway with them.
