Our term in pictures
Just a few hours to go now until the end of term 1, and what an exciting term it has been! Our students have benefitted from a raft of experiences within and beyond the classroom, to celebrate this we have created a gallery of pictures from the events of this term, we do hope you enjoy looking through them below.
Give us a HUG!
A major development this term which we have all benefited from is the launch of Show My Homework. The platform enables effective communication of homework to students, and parental access to their son/daughter’s account enhances the partnership between home and school in supporting progress. This system was funded by parental donations to our Help Us Grow Campaign for which we are most grateful.
The PTFA were also able to award us £20,000 towards our campaign, some of these monies have been used to develop our sixth form centre and the remainder will be channelled into improvements in IT.
We do however need further parental support if we are to reach our target and sustain and improve our offer to your sons and daughters. We would love to raise the grand total of £125,000 by the summer of 2020. All funds raised will help our school continue to provide the excellence of education your sons and daughters deserve, around £60,000 is required to maintain the curriculum offer we currently have, we therefore urge you to donate if you have not already done so. We would also love to develop our facilities by improving our performing arts facilities, lighting and sound technology would transform our Main Hall and better enable our students to showcase their musical and dramatic talents.
If all parents donated £12.50 per month we would reach our £125,000 target immediately! I am sure you will agree the experience at Denmark Road High School warrants this donation.
It is very easy to set up a regular donation through Virgin Giving, please follow the link below to enter your pledge now.
Thank you for your generosity
